Hello,

My name is Shannon Lawton, and I am a Christmas crafting fanatic. I love all things Christmas and (almost) wish it were every day. I say almost because if Christmas were to happen every day of the year then I wouldn’t have any time left for crafting, and that just wouldn’t work for me.

I grew up in the Rocky Mountains, and the wintry (handmade) crafts that came with it. I now live a little further out west where it rains more and snows less but still gives me plenty of time for crafting…maybe too much but my husband understands nonetheless.

I believe there is a little bit of child in all of us and I am living proof, especially around the holidays. No matter what time of year it is I can often be heard saying “handmade is heart made” which is a polite way of saying I’ll take something that is hand crafted over store bought any day.

I am now the main contributor to Christmas Is For Crafts and I plan on making it the very best Christmas site on the Internet!
